Formed in 2006, Fabrimetal is the leading manufacturer of FM TMT® rebars, high-quality thermo mechanically-treated steel reinforcement bars used to construct residential, commercial, industrial, and civil structures. A decade of experience to set up a network of steel manufacturing operations across sub-Saharan Africa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Rwanda, Mali, and Gabon, and a deep understanding of the business, primed the company to meet a growing demand for steel rebars. Following an increasing presence in major markets, and systematic integration into local markets, commercial production of FM TMT® rebars launched in Angola in 2010. Fabrimetal contributes to the country’s rapidly developing infrastructure by eliminating a dependence on imported rebars, supporting the growing construction industry, reducing environmental pollution, and providing employment for local Angolans.
